Use of the OTSC® Proctology Ranger
An instrument for proctology used to check for accessibility of anal fistulas with OTSC® Proctology.
OTSC® Proctology Ranger is an additional instrument for OTSC® Proctology. It complies with the OTSC® Proctology applicator in size and form. The OTSC® Proctology Ranger can be used to check if the fistula is accessible with the OTSC® Proctology. If the fistula is accessible with the OTSC® Proctology Ranger the OTSC® Proctology can be used to treat the fistula.
The OTSC® Proctology Ranger is reusable, delivered nonsterile, and has to be sterilized before use.

Application of the OTSC® Proctology Ranger
Before use, it needs to be ensured that the OTSC® Proctology Ranger is sterilised. The OTSC® Proctology Ranger is inserted into the anal canal or rectum under direct vision to check whether the application site (inner fistula opening) point can be accessed with the OTSC® Proctology applicator. The instrument must be inserted carefully and the cap must be positioned at the respective site. The use of the OTSC® Proctology is contraindicated if it is not possible to reach the application site using the OTSC® Proctology Ranger or if the marking line (2) extends into the anus.
